Super Serious Art and Whatnot….

I collect lots of art.  It just so happens that my art is mostly related to toys and other childhood fun stuff.  This is really the foundation of Special Sauce.  So I thought it would be a good idea to show you some of the art that inspires our design…

I found this print in LA a few years ago.  Dude had a gallery on Fairfax.  His name is Blitzstein.  I don’t think it’s there anymore but who can argue with a guy who puts cartoon like paintings is a heavy super serious frame.

We’re also HUGE fans of Dr. Seuss around here.  They have tons of his secret art available now and it can be found all over our HQ. This is the latest sculpture coming out this month.

This cookie jar is one of my most favorite Looney Toons characters.  His name is Gossamer.  Monsters are such interesting creatures…

Even our salt/pepper shakers are fancy-like.  These are from Allessi.  Check them out.  They make cool stuff..most often seen inside Pinkberry stores.  I always stop at Fitzsu on Melrose in LA as they carry lots of it.

Lastly, we also love Disney.  You can buy some of the original ride posters from stores inside the park.  This is one of my favorites.

Unfortunately, this has now been replaced by the uber-lame Nemo ride at Disneyland.  Save yourself the trouble and skip it…

That’s all folks….
